First, a note about what our Judges look for:  They look for Creativity, Costume Accuracy, Attention to Detail, Posing, and Overall Effect.  They focus on these things to balance the field so that someone who spends $800 on a costume doesn't have an unfair advantage over those who don't or can't spend that much.  Since our judges don't personally know any of the contestants, it gives them specific things to look at and look for.  I'm at home and sleepy and the prize list is at the store - I'll update it in the morning!

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

1st Place Men's Costume: Alex Tisdale as the Man-Thing - Wins $50 cash and a $50 TW Gift Card

Honorable Mention goes to Robby Hayes as Steampunk Gentleman and Tim Burkett as Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead - Wins our appreciation and a random prize!

The Womens division is always difficult that this year was no exception! There was only 1 vote separating 1st and 2nd place, 3rd & 4th place was a tie and 5th was only 1 vote out!  That's CLOSE!  I had to go out and recruit 2 extra Judges just to help break apart the ties!

First Place Women's Costume: Sierra Damato as Edwina Scissorhands - Wins $50 cash and a $50 TW Gift Card

Second Place Women's Costume: Danielle Gardner as Killer Croc - Wins $25 cash and a $25 TW Gift Card

Third Place Women's Costume: Tie  for Lindsay Gregg as Batwoman and Annie Fitch as Batgirl - Each wins a $20 TW Gift Card

Honorable Mention goes to Victoria Wiles for Flynn Rider (and I think her Steve Rogers was great too) - Wins Random prize and our thanks

Best Group Cosplay goes to the Sterling Family for their StoryTeller idea.  Very nicely exectuted theme.  They won a $50 TW Gift Card!

The kids...Ahh, the kids!  This is just too hard to separate but I am WOWED by how many kids we had in the contest this year.  The kids part is hard because most of their costumes are not home-made and then it becomes a cute contest - that I'm not getting in the middle of!  I though ALL the kids were adorable so I'm going to give a Top 6 Award for the home-made outfits and then we are going to put together gift bags for all of the other contestants.  They are all winners for coming out!

Our Top 6 Kids were: Emma Peoples, Grayson Peoples, Myles Moore, Greyson Wisecarver, Heather and Alex Haynes, and Owen Walker (yeah, I know that's 7 but Finn and Buttercup count as one)
